    At Conversatio Morum, we love WordPress. It’s the tool used for everything web related. So giving you a way to do neat things in WordPress sounds like a great idea.

    This past week I preached at my church. It’ll be up on our podcast site soon. You can find it here. While preparing I had an idea. A lot of people ask for my notes after I teach in different settings. How cool would it be to have a place where people could just go and get my notes?     1. The big idea of this passage is that Jesus inverts our world. He pushes against everything else we would trust in so that we will trust in Him. Are you trusting Jesus? How are you trusting Jesus? This leads to your greatest joy, your greatest happiness.

      1. Meekness Defined
        1. The biblical greek word for meek is different from the common English. When we think of meek, we think of those who are timid. That’s not a good picture. The better picture is that of a bridled horse, or a commanding military officer sparing a prisoner. Power under control. Biblical meekness is not weakness but rather refers to exercising God’s strength under His control – i.e. demonstrating power without undue harshness.

    Hmmm…so it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Little over a month. How do I do it? Awkward moments have happened. Mainly, I had a man randomly walk up to me while in Walmart and speak Klingon while trying to let me know that Krystals’ mini hamburgers are good. Also, I have convinced a friend that she is awkward but in a good way. I like you, internal dialogs at Starbucks are funny and weird. (more…)

The tutorial was created with Windows 7 and when I switched to Windows 8 I discovered that there are some differences to how to set this up.     Ok, so here goes. I don’t know. I’ve been sick the last few days. Now I’m better. My voice is back. Silence is good. I have a friend who just started speaking again. He took a vow of silence for a week. I’m very proud of him for sticking with it. Time seems endless now. Things seem…mundane. Yeah, that’s a good word…mundane. Mundane is OK. (more…)
