Well everyone, i’m back and thankful to be so. Well, last week was Catalyst Dallas and I was somehow (thanks to Mrs joshbjones) able to attend this year. With that being said, I am now back to the normal daily grind, and have decided to offer my notes from this years conference as they may be helpful to others. So, my plan is to post notes from the main session for a speaker a day for the next several days. Once that is finished, we’ll see about the labs. On the next post I will start with John Maxwell as I haven’t found his talk covered elsewhere yet. Kent Shaffer has already posted some great notes if you want to check them out. I will cover the same talks, but i’m always up for sharing someone else’s content. Great job Kent! Thanks for being so helpful to all of us.

Steve Jobs:Multiplied X 4
At Conversatio Morum, we look at a lot of things, a little different. The reason for this is that we’re always tying technology to missiology. How does technology and what you’re doing with it affect your mission? How does your theology allow you to use your technology to better fulfill your mission? With that in mind, just like everyone else, there needs to be at least one post about Steve Jobs recent passing. So this is it. There may be more, there may not be, but at least there’s this one.
What We Ought To Do: Part 2
A while back on Conversatio Morum I began writing on the issue of patriotism and it’s role in the church. I raised the question of what we as Christians ought to do regarding patriotism and the Church. What ought we to do when both kingdoms collide? They will collide, if they don’t, then I have to wonder if you are actually living in both kingdoms. Continue reading “What We Ought To Do: Part 2”
What Ought We To Do: Part 1
Here at Conversatio Morum, i’m always looking into culture for what needs to be disregarded, what can be redeemed, and what is a reflection of our Creator. Due to this, there will most definitely be some things that are said here that are more radical than others and you may or may not agree with some of those things. You may, or may not, agree with what’s said here. It may make you angry and you may, or may not, continue to read this. I’m ok either way.
Facetime Lies 2
A few weeks ago I had a posted about Facebook, FaceTime, social networking and how it has the proclivity to trick us into thinking that we are maintaining actual relationships well, and starting new relationships well. Ignoring the irony behind the fact that you are reading this on a blog post that was both Tweeted AND posted in Facebook, the problem is Continue reading “Facetime Lies 2”
God the Creator and the Great Commandment
The very first phrase of the bible is “In the beginning God created”. This revelation of God as the creator is important in particular to see the message of Jesus advanced in our culture and world. You see, God is the most creative. We, like God are too create also. Continue reading “God the Creator and the Great Commandment”
Immediate Results vs. Fixing the Root
In my current job we are working towards finding the balance between creating results that we can see in metrics and getting to the root of an issue Continue reading “Immediate Results vs. Fixing the Root”
Facetime Lies
When I first started at my current job, I recieved a work phone. It was an iphone, and while I swore that I would never go over to that cell company(yeah, you know the one) Continue reading “Facetime Lies”

Hi, I’m glad that you found me. To give you a little history, I’m starting this site due to the encouragement of those around me, Jesus, and a lot of serendipitous moments. Continue reading “The beginning: Intro to my language”
